HYDERABAD: The three-day international multi-topic conference at the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) concluded on Friday, with around 60 research papers shared by scholars. Experts from China, Denmark, South Korea, Malaysia, Romania, Qatar and Saudi Arabia attended the event. Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission chairperson Major Gen (retd) Ahmed Bilal, who spoke as the chief guest, stressed on the youth to focus on inventing technologies rather than just learning the use of existing ones. “MUET students should prove that they will no longer wait for government engineering jobs but will create job opportunities in the private domain through their inventions.”  Earlier on Thursday, MUET and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Pakistan (IEEEP) inaugurated a centre in Hyderabad. IEEEP president Dr Mohsin M Syed said the institution aims to spread awareness of electrical and electronics engineering through publications.
