AJK: Two murder convicts were hanged to death in Azad Kashmir's central jail in the early hours of the day, Express News reported Friday. 

Muhammed Riaz and Muhammed Fayaz - originally from Gujrat - were sentenced to death in 2012 by a court in Azad Kashmir.

Upon request, families of the two were able to see them briefly prior to their hanging. Following the execution, their bodies were given to their families.

The convicts were hanged as per the guidelines of the National Action Plan which was implemented in Azad Jammu and Kashmir on January 21.
