Two-day visit: Chinese foreign minister to arrive in Pakistan on Feb 12

Will hold delegation-level talks with Adviser to Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz

ISLAMABAD: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, along with an eight-member delegation will arrive on a two-day visit to Pakistan on February 12.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, Yi will hold delegation-level talks with Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz. He is also expected to meet the President and the prime minister.

Both sides will also review and further consolidate all aspects of the bilateral relationship, with a special focus on political, strategic and economic cooperation.

The visit would also afford an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on regional and global developments of mutual interest.

During Yi's visit, the foreign office and the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad will co-host the launching ceremony of Pakistan-China ‘Year of Friendly Exchanges,’ - a series of activities to cultural promotion and understanding between the two countries, added the statement.
