Altaf issues apology for his remarks against PTI's female workers

MQM chief also apologises to law enforcing entities, saying he respects them and would continue to do so

LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain on Tuesday evening appologised for remarks he made against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) female workers during a recent speech, Express News reported.

The MQM supremo also apologised to PTI Information Secretary Shireen Mazari for remarks that were directed at her.

“I am sorry Shireen Mazari," said the MQM chief, in conversation with an anchor of a private television channel.

Earlier in the day, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Tuesday apologised to the law enforcement agencies for speaking against them in his speeches lately, Express News reported.

The MQM chief said he has always respected the law enforcing entities and would continue to do so.

Addressing the media in London, MQM chief said his statements has badly hurt the sentiments of the officials of these agencies.

"I never wanted the statements to offend anyone,"Altaf added.

MQM has frequently criticised security forces since the start of security operation in Karachi in 2013. The party has accused law enforcers of specifically targeting MQM.
