The hostage was identified as 26-year-old aid worker Kayla Jean Mueller. She worked for the Support to Life group in Turkey which offered support and relief to Syrian refugees.
According to the SITE intelligence monitoring group, the woman’s death is unconfirmed as it is unclear when she might have been killed, or if she was actually executed by the group.
She was captured in Syria in August 2013, along with a group of other aid workers who have reportedly been released.
IS had reportedly demanded more than $6 million as ransom for her release.

Stop calling this Islamic state . I don't see anything remotely Islamic about these barbarians .
The best and worst of humanity.
@Asok: Yes. She is dead. Either way. A great loss to humanity.
Rest In Peace, Kayla. You were a great human being.
(Whether she dies in the airstrike or ISIS killed her, they wouldn't claim she is dead if she is not.)
Nobody trust these animals anymore.........may ALLAH (SWT) finish these animals with HIS wrath !!!
Clearly, ISIS is funded by US ! That seems like a checkmate.
No. Not at all. Just propaganda by ISIS. How can they identify an aircraft at that high an altitude? There are six countries flying bombing sorties there. Just heinous propaganda.by ISIS. to drive a wedge between US and Jordan.
