At least 62 men were killed while more than 50 were injured when a powerful bomb tore through the crowded imambargah near Lakhidar Chowk during Friday prayers last week.
Nisar refused to further divulge details about the investigation into the attack due to the sensitivity of the issue.
He, however, emphasized that the state machinery was working round the clock in collaboration with provincial governments to probe the attack.
Speaking about the Peshawar school attack which claimed lives of over 100 students, Nisar said both Pakistan and Afghanistan were working together to bring the perpetrators to justice.
“Coordination between the two neighbours has been great; better than before,” the interior minister said, adding that the nation will not forget these terror incidents.
“I want to assure the families of the victims that we cannot forget and we will never forget,” Nisar said.
The interior minister added that the entire nation, politicians and armed forces were united to put an end to terrorism in Pakistan.

He will take it seriously only when his close relative is a victim.
Every time there is an attack on Shias in Pakistan Indian Shia Kashmiri Majority is shown their future with Pak. I wonder who is behind Shia killing... Their enemies or or "friends"? This is lot less costly to kill them here in Chaotic Pak make their point to local Shias! No wonder NAWAZ never mention any Indian aggression against Pak or call them. No wonder he always has bad terms with Pak Army. No wonder Ch. Nisar Couldn't mention the culprits. This is Pak Leadership who friends are in reality.... Pak enemies!
Classic PML-N strategy...stretch it out...look busy and do nothing.
Mr. Bean! The little Sherlock Homes!
You are right when you say Pakistan will never forget the Peshawar massacre. And every delay that happens in stamping out religious gangsterism from that point on will be remembered too, along with those responsible for those delays.
