Gunned down: Two policemen shot dead in encounter
A case has yet to be registered.
KARACHI:
Two policemen were killed along with two alleged criminals during an encounter near Bhains Colony on Thursday. Sukhan SHO Muhammad Mithal said that ASI Muhammad Saeed, 40, and constable Muhammad Ijaz, 42, were patrolling the area with three other police personnel when they received information about robbers looting passers-by at Moosa Chowk on Sukhan Road. When they reached the scene, the criminals opened indiscriminate fire. Saeed and Ijaz were shot on the chests and heads. The other police officials killed the two suspects in an exchange of fire. The injured policemen were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they succumbed to injuries. A case has yet to be registered.
