Inadequate security: 700 schools not issued NOCs

The police inspected 1,181 schools and sent their reports to the DCs, who refused to issue NOCs to 700 of them.

PESHAWAR: Around 700 schools were denied a no-objection certificate by DCs in the province as they lacked adequate security arrangements. The police inspected 1,181 schools and sent their reports to the DCs, who refused to issue NOCs to 700 of them. Meanwhile, around 160 people were  arrested for misusing loudspeakers in a province-wide crackdown. FIRs were also registered against them. Moreover,  police confiscated 101  loudspeakers.
