As many as 25 suspected militants were killed in fresh air strikes in North Waziristan and Khyber Agency, Express News reported on Wednesday.

Quoting Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the air strikes also destroyed seven militant hideouts in Tirah valley of Khyber Agency.


The strikes come a day after a Corps Commander Conference was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ), chaired by army chief General Raheel Sharif, to review the implementation of the National Action Plan to counter terrorism.

An ISPR statement had later said that the meeting focused on the “effective implementation of National Action Plan in concert with federal and provincial governments, in order to eliminate terrorism, extremism and sectarianism without any discrimination.”
