ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to form a parliamentary board to finalise tickets for Senate elections from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, a senior party official said on Tuesday.

The party official was speaking at the conclusion of the PTI core committee meeting in Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence.

The parliamentary board is to be headed by Imran Khan but names of other members have not been disclosed. “The board will scrutinise applications of candidates for Senate tickets and only people of good repute will be issued tickets,” he said.

It is likely that the PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi will be included in the board besides other members from the K-P.

Sources said the committee also discussed whether or not people from provinces other than the K-P should be awarded tickets.
