Federal Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr Babar Awan announced on Thursday that the notification to restore Islamabad High Court have been issued.
He was addressing a gathering at Islamabad. Awan said the President and Prime Minister have further approved the setting of two accountability courts in the capital.
Commenting on the controversy surrounding the 18th amendment Awan said that the Supreme Court cannot nullify the decisions of the Parliament. He announced Rs1.5 million for the Islamabad Bar Council and the establishment of a library at the court premises.
Awan further said that the judges appointed at the Islamabad High court will be drawn from various parts of the country to make it truly representative.
