HARIPUR: Haripur Deputy Commissioner Tahir Zafar Abbasi warned legal action will be taken against non-governmental organisations which are operating in the district without proper registration. Speaking at a meeting with NGO representatives at the Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday, Abbasi said only NGOs which have been registered with the relevant authorities will be allowed to operate in the district. He also drew attention to considerable overlap in the involvement of NGOs and the government in various spheres. “This has resulted in a waste of resources,” he said.
