PESHAWAR:
A high level delegation of the Afghan Border Police (ABP) led by Lt-Gen Shafiq Fazli, Commander ABP, visited Corps Headquarters on Wednesday and called on Corps Commander Peshawar Lt-Gen Hidayat Ur Rehman, said a statement issued by ISPR. Matters related to border security and measures to enhance the existing border coordination mechanism were discussed. Delegation also visited Fort Balahisar and met with Inspector General Frontier Corps, Maj-Gen Tayyab Azam and discussed matters of professional and mutual interest. On arrival at Balahisar, the delegation laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateha. It may be mentioned that Corps Commander Peshawar also visited Afghanistan on January 18 and current visit of Afghan delegation is a sequel to the series of meetings planned on both sides of the border to boost military to military cooperation between the two armies, the ISPR statement said.
