Intimidation: Police arrest ‘extortionist’

Police recovered the phone and SIM cards that Ilyas Baloch used to make threatening calls.

LAHORE: Police said on Tuesday they had arrested a man for threatening a factory owner with murder and kidnapping of his children if he did not pay Rs10 million. Police recovered the phone and SIM cards that Ilyas Baloch used to make threatening calls. Sheikh Aftab, who owns a cosmetics factory, said he received a call on November 18 from Baloch. Police said they had arrested Baloch using his cell-phone record.
