Islamabad Police on Tuesday arrested 25 suspects including seven gamblers from various areas of the city and recovered a stolen car and laptops.
On a tip off, Golra police raided a place in Sector G-12 and arrested Ashraf, Imran, Ashraf Sajjad, Falak Sher,Nazeer and Iqbal for gambling. The police also confiscated stake money and playing cards.
In a separate incident, Golra police recovered a pistol and ammunition from a suspect, Muhammad Tanveer.
Ramna police raided a house in Sector G-12 and arrested 16 persons who the police said were involved in “immoral activities”.
Margalla police arrested a suspect, Adeel Aziz, with a stolen car while Aabpara police booked Qaisar for decanting gas in cylinders illegally.
Cases have been registered against all the suspects.
Rawalpindi police also arrested eight suspects in different cases and seized 2.5 kilogramme hashish, five litres of liquor, and a 30-bore pistol on Tuesday.
Cantt police held Rutsam Khan in possession of 1,020 grammes of hashish. Civil Lines police booked Akhlaq for possessing 1.5 kilogramme hashish.
Banni police arrested Qayyum and recovered five litres of liquor, while Saddar Bairuni police nabbed Zubair for carrying an illegal pistol.
Civil Lines police conducted raided an illegal liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) agency and arrested Ijaz and Rashid Khan and confiscated gas refilling gadgets and cylinders.
Wah Cantt police rounded up two drunkards, identified as Israr and Talha.
