Four students were slightly hurt in the incident in which took place in Bannu on Monday, which happened as students from local colleges and schools demonstrated against the cartoons printed in French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo.
"A group of some 200 to 300 protesting students entered Panel High School after jumping its outer walls and forcibly opened the gates," school principal Fredrick Farhan Das told AFP.
He said the students who wanted the school to be shut damaged the property and smashed windows.
"This caused kind of a stampede, which slightly injured four students," Das said.
He said the school remained closed on Tuesday in protest against the incident and will re-open on Wednesday.
District police officer Abdul Rashid Khan confirmed the incident but said it was not thought to be an anti-Christian attack.
Two gunmen stormed the Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo earlier this month, killing 12 people.
Under the country’s strict blasphemy laws, insulting Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) can carry the death penalty, and the country's prime minister and parliament have strongly condemned the publication of the cartoons.
At least three people were injured on January 16 when protesters and police clashed at an anti-Charlie Hebdo demonstration outside the French consulate in Karachi.

"A group of some 200 to 300 protesting students entered Panel High School after jumping its outer walls and forcibly opened the gates,” school principal Fredrick Farhan Das told AFP."** They look like rowdies and not students. See the photo. GOD save Pakistan from these idiots and those mullas inciting them
@Zain: If we go by this theory... then unfortunately there won't be any muslim's left in the world. Those who disrespect God, only God has the right to punish them. Man should not destroy what God has created.
@Zain: By your logic, then since these MUSLIMS disrespected the Christian school, then MUSLIMS can expect some reaction!!!
@Zain: So your reaction to action of few french people is to harm few Pakistani people? Great logic indeed!!!!!!
@Kashim: Your comment is priceless! If You think any western country cares about Christians world over like Pakistan considers itself the representative of Muslims world over then you really need to rethink. In western countries the concept of a religion based identity is totally overshadowed by nationalistic identity. For them a Pakistani Christian is no more or less than any other Pakistani.
What is amazing that you are willing to harm people of your own country because of something that is done by people of another country. And that's what is priceless!
Every action has an equal opposite reaction. If you disrespect muslims then you should expect some reaction. h
@Kashim: Publishing a cartoon is equivalent to destroying private property and killing people? Get a perspective. Say after me: "Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me."
@Kashim: Seriously?
How many Christians have west cared for that are getting abducted in Syria and Iraq and getting slaughtered?. They would care least about Pakistani Christians. You need to show signs of intelligent human behavior before Darwinism consumes you. Sorry about being harsh but people like you are exactly what's wrong with this world!
@Kashim: No wonder Pakistan is being pushed to stone ages by ignorants like you. Charlie Hebdo makes cartoon of every religion including christianity. So please go ahead, blame the Christians for your ignorance and immaturity. Let's see where Pakistan ends up in a few years. Also... please stop begging daily from the same Christian countries.
Pakistan is trapped between religion and ignorance and there's no way out of it.
Obviously nobody told them that the pope himself condemned the cartoons
If the west wants to protect Christian they should not publish these Cartoon. This is a natural consqequence.
First they are protesting against some cartoons!! And they storm a school that has nothing to do with the cartoons to express their anger?!! And the police guy says this is not an anti-Christian attack? So the hooligans chose the one Christian school in the area just by throwing dice?! Unbelievable!!
OMG......what is wrong with these guys, don't understand that student in that Christian school has nothing to do what has happened in France.
Astagfarullah - May Allah help us to get rid of these jahils in one way or another.
@Oats: @BachaBazi: The illiterates who attacked the school do not understand
Beg pardon, Sir, but the third word of the first sentence of this news story calls the attackers 'students' for some reason. I don't have the benefit of an European education, so I may have mistakenly drawn the conclusion that had something to do with literacy - my apologies.
@Wajahat:
@BachaBazi: Were you trying to be funny?
Take a guess - OK, let me soften it up a bit for you - Either District Police Officer Abdul Rashid Khan was trying to be funny, or I was. Take your pick.
While we are at it, is the irony of your handle and your question to me apparent to you?
No? I thought so too.
The attack by Muslims on a Pakistani Christian school, to protest Charlie Hebdo is just as absurd as would be an attack by Pakistani Christians on a madressah to protest Charlie Hebdo. The Pope has condemned lampooning religions and Hebdo. Thank God that this school's teachers were not armed with automatic weapons.
These Hebdo guys were all atheist. Can we not differentiate?
@BachaBazi:
Were you trying to be funny?
These crazy mullahs and their illiterates ignorant hordes will never learn.
They are the biggest risk and insult to Islam.
Pakistani mullahs should pay a mullah tax for all the destruction they have brought on this country.
Shameful act. These guys are just inflicting damage to Islam and Pakistan. Senseless and unaware people.
@BachaBazi: The illiterates who attacked the school do not understand that the Pope spoke out against religious intolerance. They have no understanding that most modern Europeans are largely areligious and do not even identify with Christianity. When I went to school in Europe, most of my European classmates thought of all religion as nonsense. The irony is that those Europeans who are genuinely Christian are the only ones who are against the Charlie Hebdo cartoons.
Offences that provoke violence are the ones most worth defending. This kind of mob mentality needs to be crushed. JeSuisCharlie.
The leader of this protest needs to be arrested.
"District police officer Abdul Rashid Khan confirmed the incident but said it was not thought to be an anti-Christian attack."
He's right you know. The fact that it was a Christian School had nothing to do with the attack. It had to do with it being a boys' school since protesting girls education is now out of fashion.
These are not students they are hooligans who should be punished
what madness?
What's wrong with this country. Entire nation is brainwashed in the name of religion.
Don't worry guys - white press will not defame us over this. BBC has already declared 'terrorist' is too strong a word for Charlie Hebdo gunmen, so we're on the right track. We'll all be called 'pacifists' instead, more likely.
Ya Allah help Pakistan. Infested by these illiterates who would hurt kids that have nothing to do with the cartoons. How are these animals any better than TTP..
