Highway accident: Three policemen killed as van overturns

HYDERABAD: Three police personnel were killed and another was injured in a road accident involving a police van on Super Highway on Monday morning. According to the Lunikot police, the accident occurred after a tyre of the vehicle burst near police post number 12 on the highway at around 3am. The deceased were identified as 33-year-old Riaz Gul, 30-year-old Basharat Ali and 30-year-old Yar Muhammad Marri. The van was escorting a police official of Ghotki district. The injured and the bodies of the deceased personnel were shifted to Civil Hospital, Hyderabad, from where the latter were sent to Ghotki.
