ISLAMABAD:
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday took serious notice of a statement attributed to Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination Riaz Pirzada about the alleged role of a brotherly country in the internal affairs of the country.
In a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office, a spokesperson said that the prime minister while taking serious note of the media reports has sought clarification from the minister concerned and has observed that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy close fraternal relations.
Premier Nawaz said the people of the two countries are tied together with strong bonds of common faith, mutual respect, trust and brotherhood, adding that the government and people of Pakistan greatly value their brotherly relations with their Saudi brethren and hold the Saudi government and its leadership in a very high esteem.
Meanwhile, in another statement issued from the minister's office, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination has clarified that the statement attributed to the federal minister was reported out of context as the minister never meant to level any allegation against any brotherly country.

SA gives jobs and strict surveillance. The Pakistanis still go there to lessen their privations and suffer humiliation albeit Pakistanis are also no angels. SA gives you money and slaps you on the face through militant madrassas and our paindoo politicians fall at their feet. The right statement should be like this: Saudi Arab's royal class enjoys close fraternal ties with Pakistan's corrupt ruling class
What Mr. Pirzada said was absolutely right. The Saudi government needs to stop illegal flow from their side. Also, since we have 'brotherly' relations with the Saudi's, does this means our maulvis agree to the same level of monitoring and control over them as done by the Saudi's on their maulvis!
The Minister should be commended for calling a spade a spade. Everybody knows that SA money finances extremists all over the world. It is about time.
Yes, Pakistan & Saudi Arabia has close relationship but that doesn't mean that either one has a free hand in meddling affairs of the other. PM has a personal debt to pay to Saudi Arabia and he is overlooking Saudi involvement in Pakistani madrassas. It is time that Saudi Arabia should stop throwing money at them as they are nothing but Jahadi machines and are destroying very basic fabric of Pakistan.
What kind of a dream world is this PM living in. the only country which is beheading Pakistanis is Saudi Arabia. The Pakistanis working there hate that country. And those who don't only would go there for pilgrimage.
Pakistan’s healthy relations with Arab countries will show Pakistan’s desire to have balancing factors against Israel but at the same Pakistan’s healthy relations with Iran will show that Pakistan is not interested in Arab-Iran tussle. Pak-Iran healthy relations will show Pakistan’s desire to deprive India from a balancing factor against Pakistan.
