KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday issued non-bailable warrants for the arrests of two investigation officers for noncompliance with court orders in separate cases. The warrants and show-cause notices were issued for Inspector Hussain Mehdi and Inspector Navid Shah as they had failed to appear before court or provide evidence. Mehdi was investigating the murder of Noor Hasan, who was killed in Gulbahar in April, 2013. He had been ordered to produce evidence against the accused, Muzaffar Ali, during an earlier hearing. Meanwhile, Shah had been ordered to do the same in a case of attempted murder against suspect Mir Waiz, who had been arrested by the Gulshan-e-Maymar police in 2013. Shah has been summoned on February 9 and Mehdi on February 16.
