An Indian news agency earlier reported Pakistan had been warned of the 'consequences' of any terrorist attack during Obama's trip to India.
The media reports further said the US had asked Pakistan to ensure there are no border violations either during the visit.
Defending the government's stand on terrorism the diplomat said, "As a matter of fact US Secretary of State John Kerry, who visited Islamabad last week, had deeply appreciated the steps taken by Pakistan against terrorism and extremism."
Censuring reports Jilani added, "These actions are meant to purge our country of all such elements. These actions are also in pursuance of our policy not to allow anyone to use our territory against other countries."
The reports also stated that hours after receiving the warning Pakistan assured the US that no such attack would take place.
Earlier, Indian Army Chief General Dalbir Singh renewed his country’s oft-repeated accusation that Pakistan is supporting a ‘proxy war’ in Jammu and Kashmir.

Jalil Abbas Jilani is a popular guy in U.S. diplomatic circles where people are polite but avoid this man. He has arrived in the US with a certain "reputation". The Western media widely reported that Kerry had asked Pakistan to go after militants that were attacking India and Afghanistan. It was not reported in the Pakistani media but you can find it easily via a google search on agency and other Western news sites. Given this background I don't doubt that this latest warning is true too.

Whether India kills 100,000 Kashmiris, rapes 50,000 women and minors in Kashmir, commits human rights violations and breaches international law, may not be a primary interest or concern at this juncture.
What India may never fully appreciate is that Pakistan and the US are the most natural allies. I know this may sound extremely strange at this point in time, but if you look at the last 60 years, Pakistan is the only country they have been able to rely on consistently for their security interests in the region.
