PESHAWAR: An employee of the Public Service Commission of Pakistan (PSCP) Sayar Khan was shot dead by unidentified militants in Sulaiman Khel village in the jurisdiction of Badhaber police on Sunday. Khan had gone to the fields where he was ambushed. His body was found around noon by locals who informed the family and police. Police said Khan’s family has several police officers who have a history of disputes with local militants. “They (the assailants) may have suspected his family’s involvement in the recent arrests of militants,” said a police official, adding militants have ravaged the family’s orchards and bombed their houses in the past. “It means the militants are active once again,” he said, adding further investigation is under way.
