Humaima Mallick’s debut on Indian TV

Pakistani actor will be seen in the daily soap Ijaazat

After making her debut in Bollywood last year in Kunal Deshmukh’s Raja Natwarlal, actor Humaima Malick is now set for her debut on Indian TV with the same show she debuted with on Pakistani TV, reported Times of India.

Pakistani actor, who debuted with the Pakistani film Bol, back in 2011, will be seen on the smaller screen with the daily soap, Ijaazat.

The show is set to launch on Zee Zindagi TV which also aired the popular Humsafar starring Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan.

Ijaazat will shows Humaima in the character of Pares Usmani, who creates a love triangle between the lead pair in the show. In fact, Ijaazat was also Humaima’s debut on Pakistani TV.

It is the story of Sahil, a film director and his wife, Seep, who is a writer. The story follows the life of the couple who are madly in love with each other until Seep writes about a woman who fits her husband’s ‘dream girl’ character — a girl called Diya. Sahil frantically searches the perfect girl to play Diya and meets Pares (Humaima) and is enamoured with her resulting in trouble in Sahil and Seep’s marriage.

Malick has a line-up of other Bollywood projects as well and is presently working on the film Sher directed by Soham Shah. She has also signed a film with Vidhu Vinod Chopra, besides a Pakistani film, Mission Allahu Akbar.
