Umar Akmal welcomes baby girl

Cricketer added head coach Waqar Younis, Mushtaq Ahmed and Misbahul Haq visited his daughter in the hospital

Cricketer Umar Akmal became a father on Friday as he and his wife welcomed a baby girl.

The wicket-keeper cum batsman took to social media and tweeted a picture with his baby girl. Akmal, however, did not disclose the name of his child on Twitter.

The cricketer added head coach Waqar Younis, former cricketer Mushtaq Ahmed and captain of the team Misbahul Haq visited his daughter in the hospital.

The wicket-keeper couldn't found it hard to contain his excitement.



Akmal has been included in the 15-man squad of the World Cup 2015 to be played in Australia starting February 14.

At least his Twitter account's grammar and spelling suggests that he maintains his own Twitter account (or is it deliberate?) - can't say the same for some of the other players. Congrats on the baby.
