Substandard Product: Four bakeries sealed

ABBOTABAD: Four bakeries were sealed while 14 others were issued warnings in the district on Thursday for manufacturing and marketing substandard food items and fleecing customers. According to insiders, AC Mir Raza paid surprise visits to various confectionery shops and bakers and found their ingredients and baking process unhygienic. The AC also observed that the shopkeepers were overcharging customers. He issued orders that Friends Bakers and Sweets in Supply Market, Dilshad Bakers and Sweets on Mall Road, New Diamond Bakers and Sweets, and Sundas Bakers and Sweets be sealed. The official also issued warnings to 14 bakeries and sweetshops for selling poor quality cakes, sweets, biscuits, bread and other food items.
