A house was burnt down in a fire in Pind Gakhra, a village near Haripur, police said on Wednesday.
Although no one was injured in the fire, furniture and other belongings were reduced to ashes.
According to Zubair, the owner of the house, the fire broke out while he was working in his fields and his family was inside the house.
The fire erupted in one of the bedrooms and gradually engulfed the entire house. Nearby residents heard women screaming and tried to douse the flames with water.
The family managed to escape unhurt. However, the house was completely destroyed as there were no immediate arrangements for firefighting in the village.
