LAHORE: District and Sessions Judge Tariq Iftikhar Ahmad has deputed Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Imran Ishaq to witness the execution and attest the last will of convict Ikramul Haq alias Lahori of Lashkar-i-Jhangvi scheduled to be hanged on January 17 at 6:30am at Lahore Central Jail. Lahori’s bid to reach a compromise with the complainant in his case fell through on Tuesday after the Shiite family of the complainant failed to show up to record statements exonerating Lahori. As a result, Judge Raja Parvaiz Akhtar of the anti-terrorism court in Faisalabad dismissed Lahori’s application for a compromise and re-issued black warrants for Lahori.  Lahori’s counsel Ghulam Mustafa Mangan said the court had given them five days to file an application for a compromise before the Lahore High Court.
