According to District Health Officer (DHO) Quetta Sher Ahmed Satakzai, the anti-polio drive began in high-risk areas of Quetta. Around 216,000 children would be administered polio drops during the two-day long campaign.
He said 439 teams have been constituted to vaccinate anti-polio drops to children through door-to-door service. Earlier, an anti-polio drive had been launched in 17 Union Councils of Quetta.
Security in Saryab, Pashtunabad, Kharotabad, Eastern and Western Bypass areas of Quetta have been increased. Further, security forces have started snap-checking across the city.
