Accident: Eight of a family injured in inferno

HANGU: At least eight members of a family including children sustained burn injuries in Goain area of Lower Orakzai Agency when a fire erupted in a power generator inside their residence on Thursday. A political administration official said Fazal Habib was starting the generator after electricity went out in their area. While starting the engine, a fire broke out from the generator and soon engulfed the whole house. Subsequently, Habib, his wife, their three children and three other family members were injured. They were rushed to Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar where three of the injured were said to be in a critical condition. An official report stated the entire house was reduced to ashes and the flames were later extinguished by residents of the area with the help of political administration officials.
