Deadly negligence: One killed, two injured by speeding truck

BAHAWALPUR: A man was killed and his two sons were injured on Tuesday after they were hit by a speeding truck near Rahim Yar Khan. According to police, Abdullah, a resident of Suneeran, was crossing the National Highway near Taj Chowk with his sons, Nasarullah and Abdul Rehman.

“A truck coming from the opposite direction ran over the three,” police said. Abdullah died on the spot while Adbul Rehman and Nasarullah were critically injured.

They had been taken to a hospital, police said. The truck driver fled from the spot. Police said they had registered a case and were looking for the driver.
