Gas leak: Two killed in cylinder blast

Two persons were killed and five others injured on Monday in an explosion caused by a gas cylinder leak in a house in Dhoke Mangtal in Ratta Amral area of the city. The house was owned by Fazal Hussain.


According to a Rescue 1122 official, the blast occurred in the kitchen when someone lit a match after gas had permeated in the kitchen due to a leakage. The deceased were identified as Fazal Hussain and Amjad Hussain, while the injured were identified as Eman, 7, Saima, 7, Muhammad Ayub, 50, Muhammad Saddam, 24, and Ubaidullah, 30. The injured were shifted to the DHQ Hospital for treatment.
