A constable and a Communication and Works (C&W) employee were shot dead in separate incidents in DI Khan on Monday, police told The Express Tribune.


Constable Muhammad Ismail was pulled out of a passenger coach and gunned down by four unidentified persons in Penyalla on Monday. According to the Penyalla police officials, the slain constable was going from his hometown Rahmani Khel towards the Saddar police station when he was killed.


 A Penyalla policeman said the accused were suspected to belong to the notorious Zamani group.


A case has been registered at Penyalla police station.


C&W employee Saeed Mujtaba was on his motorbike, going towards DI Khan city, when he was shot dead near Bannu Chungi.

According to Cantt policeman, Mujtaba belonged to a Shia family, however, the motive behind his murder has not been ascertained as yet.
