As muslims across the world celebrate the birth of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) on 12 Rabiul Awwal,  Eid Miladun Nabi was celebrated with religious fervour and enthusiasm throughout Pakistan on Sunday, Radio Pakistan reported.

Special Conferences, events and Mehfil-e-Naat were arranged in almost all parts of the country.

Heavy security arrangements were also finalized for the processions that will be taken out to pay homage to Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) on his birth celebrations.

The main event of the day - National Seerat Conference - will be held in Islamabad under the auspices of Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Seerat Conferences will also be organised at the provincial headquarters and other main cities and towns.

While, mosques, buildings, streets and homes were illuminated with colourful lights to mark the day.
