Scale up: Promotions in Pemra

Notification says officers promoted from DGM to GM on recommendations of Departmental Promotion Committee

Several officers have been promoted at the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) from Deputy General Manager (PS-8) to General Manager (PS-9) on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), according to a notification issued here on Friday.

The promoted officers are Junaid Nagi, Abdul Jalal Kakar, Amjad Ali Afridi, Rahat Ali, Khurram Siddiqui, Muhammad Tahir, Omar Waqas Qureshi, Tariq Mehmood, Muhammad Ikram Barkat and Nasir Ayub. Two Pemra General Managers,  Dr Mukhtar Ahmad and Javaid Iqbal have also been promoted as director General (PS-10) w.e.f October 2, 2014 on the recommendations of the DPC. The promoted officers will have to undergo relevant training courses.

The promoted officers would remain on probation for one year. The transfers and postings of the promoted officers was also on the cards, said the notification
