In custody: Man arrested over local complaints

NOWSHERA: Nowshera police have apprehended an Afghan national on charges of burying pages of the Holy Quran in Khweshgi area. Police officials said the accused is an Amil by profession, adding he was arrested on the complaints of local people. The accused is presently in custody of Nowshera police and workers and stalwarts of a religious-cum-political party are demanding stern action against him. Police officials said that they are probing the matter and will take further steps once investigation is complete.
