Shuffling: PESCO transfers five officials

Line losses are a recurring problem, resulting in huge setbacks for the electric company

With the aim to improve its services to facilitate consumers, Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) transferred five of its officials to different posts on Thursday.


According to a notification issued by Pesco, five officers of grade-20 and grade-19, Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan, Muhammad Iqbal Marwat, Muhammad Abdullah Shah, Jamaluddin and Akhtar Hussain, have been transferred across the province.

Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan has been posted as chief engineer (Dev) of the Project Management Unit (PMU) at Pesco headquarters, Muhammad Iqbal Marwat has been posted as superintending engineer (SE) of Pesco Peshawar Circle, Muhammad Abdullah Shah as project director (PD) of Grid System Construction (GSC) Pesco Peshawar, while Jamaluddin and Akhtar Hussain have been posted as SEs of Pesco Bannu and Swat circles, respectively.

According to the Pesco spokesperson, the chief executive of the department has directed these officers to work with zeal and discharge their duties with devotion and honesty to better address consumers’ problems and to lessen line losses.
