Curbing crime: Police station inaugurated in I-16

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have established a new police station in Sector I-16 in a bid to ensure effective policing and address complaints of residents on an immediate basis, said a press release issued on Thursday. IGP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan formally inaugurated the police station at village Noon. The IGP said the purpose of establishing the new police station is to ensure effective policing on the city’s entrance points. He added cooperation from citizens is crucial to curb crime. The jurisdiction of Noon Police Station will cover Moza Sheikhpur, Noon, Dhoke Makhan, Dhoke Daud, Pindhon, Mughalabad, Dhoke Maliaran, Jhugi Syedan, EME College, CMT & SD Golra, Dhoke Mian Abdullah, Chishtiabad, Motorway Chowk, Golra Mor and Haji Camp.
