Briefing: Omani delegation visits PTA

Technical officers of the telecom operators also joined the discussion

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Chairman Syed Ismail Shah has said effective implementation of telecom policies has resulted in proliferation of broadband and cost-effective services in the country. He was giving a briefing to a delegation of the Oman Telecom Regulatory Authority that visited the PTA office. Briefings were also given to the delegation by the director general (licensing) and the executive director Frequency Allocation Board on various issues pertaining to telecom licensing, spectrum monitoring and optimisation. Technical officers of the telecom operators also joined the discussion and shared their stance for eliminating interference and spillover issues. A technical agreement or proposal shared by the delegation was also discussed.
