sTATE OF DISREPAIR, AGAIN: Report sought on poor renovations

MULTAN: DCO Zahid Saleem Gondal on Thursday sought a detailed report after cracks appeared in walls of Damdama Art Gallery. He was on a visit to Qasim Fort to review progress on development schemes around it. He ordered officials to repair cracks in Damdama and also address factors that had caused the cracks. Punjab Horticulture Authority (PHA) director Chaudhry Naseer informed the DCO that a floral clock would be completed at the venue within a week. He said an architect had been hired for restoration of Baabul Qasim whose top had collapsed a month ago. The DCO said Qasim Fort was a scenic place that could be converted into a picnic spot. He said greenery would be improved and flower plants would be grown.
