Amir Khan meets PM, condemns attack on School

Heavyweight boxer supports govt efforts to curb terrorism in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Amir Khan, a British boxing champion of Pakistani origin, called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the PM House in Islamabad and condemned the terrorist attack on Army Public School (APS) in Peshawar, Radio Pakistan reported on Tuesday.

Further, Khan supported efforts of the government to curb terrorism in the country. The boxer also expressed deep sympathies with bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls.

Meanwhile, Senior Vice President Motorola Solutions, Mohammad Akhtar, called on PM along with a delegation in Islamabad and briefed him about the Motorola security system.

The delegation extended condolences over the tragic Peshawar incident.

PM Nawaz said the government is providing an enabling environment to both local and foreign investors.

He added the priority of the government was to improve the security situation across the country for which important steps were being taken.
