Preparations: Security guidelines issued for Eid Milad

CPO Tajik says encroachments should be removed from routes of milad processions, routes would be cleared by BDU.

Police on Monday released security guidelines for processions and public meetings on Eid Milad.


Addressing a meeting, City Police Officer (CPO) Sohail Tajik said milad committees had been asked to make security plans for processions and gatherings in their areas. He said these plans would be shared with police.


He said audios, videos and literature of hate speeches and messages would be seized.


He said encroachments should be removed from routes of milad processions. He said the routes would be cleared by sniffer dogs and the bomb disposal squad.


He said search operations by security forces would continue in Faisalabad.


The CPO said sale of artificial beards and water balloons would be prohibited.


He said a large number of women constables would be deployed at processions to search women.


He said all entry and exit points around the milad processions and gatherings would be sealed with barbed wires.
