Amassing information: Biodata from all schools being collected

MINGORA: Acting on the directives of the provincial government, the district administration of Swat has started collecting biodata of all public and private schools. The decision has been taken in the wake of the Army Public School attack in Peshawar. The data collected will be provided to the relevant police stations. The information will contain the number of students and staff, rooms and doors, and the location of the school. Meanwhile, the Malakand commissioner decided in a meeting of district officials to extend winter vacations of private schools till December 31. All private schools will reopen on January 1 instead of the earlier date of December 28, according to the latest notification.
