A man stabbed his sister and sister-in-law to death for ‘honour’ on Sunday. A police spokesman said Muhammad Rafique, a resident of Jamrani village, had forbidden his sister Shakeela Bibi and sister-in-law Tahira Bibi from leaving the house after he accused them of having affairs with some men in the neighbourhood. He said on Saturday night, he barged into their rooms and accused them of going to a friend’s house.
When they rubbished his accusations, he stabbed them. Police said the women died before they could reach the hospital. Musafirkhana police have taken the bodies in custody and sent them to a morgue for post mortem examination.
They have also arrested Rafique and seized the murder weapon.
