This is maiden core committee’s meeting of the PTI after abruptly wrapping the 120-day long sit-in at D-chowk following the Peshawar school massacre.
The core committee will also discuss the law and order situation in Khyber-Pakhtunkhawa, where the PTI leads a coalition government and the party also faced criticism after deadly Taliban attackers stormed into the school premises within the nose of the provincial secretariat of the KPK government.
A PTI leader told The Express Tribune that apart from the current extraordinary political situation, the core committee will also look into the matter of the resignations of the party parliamentarians from the National Assembly and Punjab Assembly, which were submitted in August as part of the protest against the alleged poll rigging in the 2013 elections. “The committee will discuss whether the party should reverse the decision to resign from the assemblies, and that if the decision is reversed then what should be the conditions,” said the source. After calling off the prolonged D-chowk sit-in, Imran Khan again demanded the government to form a judicial commission to probe into the alleged poll riggings.
However, the negotiators from both sides are working to hammer out the ToRs for the proposed Judicial Commission.

@Adnan Siddiqi: Talking of iota, why are people like yourself still on earth?
@Igloo:
Hence the question is begging to be asked, what is the duty of the provisional government then? Burning provisional resources on making a Naya Pakistan in Punjab and spending provisional taxpayer's money on fasad, nach/gana at D-Chowk.
@Adnan Siddiqi: Before entering numerous locales administered by the provincial government they received training in FATA which once again comes under the federal government or did your brain fail to receive that piece of information?
Speaking of committees - hows the famous anti Terrorism committee doing - you know the BIG RESPONSE to the massacre of Pakistani children?
@Antebellum:
Before entering a military red zone, these thugs and ideological mentors of the provisional government of KPK must have passed through numerous locales administered by the provisional government ruled by PTI. If Kaptaan Imran Waliullah Banigala Sharif had an iota of shame and scruples, he would have immediately relieved his CM and the whole government of KPK for this negligence and dereliction of duty. After all, he did demand the same from Shahbaz Sharif for a similar premise at Wagah.
Just out of curiosity, did D.I. Khan jail and All Saints Church in Peshawar also happened be inside military cantonments which fell under the Federal Government (MOD), not Provisional Government?
the party also faced criticism after deadly Taliban attackers stormed into the school premises within the nose of the provincial secretariat of the KPK government.
The attack took place inside a military cantonment which falls under the Federal government (MOD) not Provincial government!
