He said, “We have to bring such changes and amendments in the existing laws and procedures, which facilitate common man’s access to expeditious delivery of justice.”

Justice Kasi expressed these views on Saturday at the certificate distribution ceremony at the conclusion of one week long training course on “management of civil cases” for district and deputy district attorneys.

The function was held at the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA).

Justice Kasi said, “Article 37 (d) of the Constitution requires the state to ensure inexpensive and expeditious justice.”

The IHC chief justice said that a well-designed and well-developed capacity building training programme for all part of the administration of justice system would go a long way in transforming the judiciary and its culture.

“I believe that all stakeholders of administration of justice system require training to expedite delivery of quality justice,” he added.

In his welcome address, FJA Director General Dr Faqir Hussain highlighted the importance of the role of attorneys in the justice delivery system.

“Commitment and professionalism of these law officers and other professionals related to justice sector can change the whole situation,” he added.

Dr Hussain said that public faith in the institution of judiciary had strengthened.

The director general of the FJA said that the academy was playing an important role in imparting training to all professionals attached with the justice system.
