CJP questions LNG bidding process

ISLAMABAD:

The Supreme Court (SC) adjourned the suo motu hearing of irregularities in the award of over 20 billion dollars contract for the import of LNG on Wednesday.


Earlier, Secretary Petroleum GA Sabri appeared before the court to record his statement.


On the occasion, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry asked the petroleum secretary to speak the truth.


The chief justice also expressed his annoyance over the award of the LNG contract to a company which did not take part in the bidding process.
