Four con men charged with swindling several people in various areas of Nowshera were arrested in Akora Khattak on Monday.
Akora Khattak police SHO Bakht Sher said police conducted a raid following a tip-off and arrested all four accused, adding Arif, Adil, Ishrat and Asif were all put behind bars.
He said initial investigation revealed the accused targeted people going to the bank to withdraw cash.
They would offer help by telling people the withdrawn money contains fake bills and would steal money while helping them count.
The con men confessed swindling several people in Peshawar, Mardan and Nowshera. Police lodged an FIR and further investigation is under way.
