Mourning the tragedy: Schools to remain closed

CM Khattak directed that all institutes including schools, colleges and universities remain closed for three days.

HARIPUR/ PESHAWAR:
The K-P government has announced that all government and private educational institutes will be closed for three days after the brutal militant attack on the Army Public School.

According to an official handout, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak directed that all institutes including schools, colleges and universities remain closed for three days.

Meanwhile, the K-P Private Education Network (PEN) issued a handout in Haripur on Tuesday, stating all private institutes would remain closed across the province on Wednesday, December 17. The PEN also expressed solidarity with the parents and families of the victims.

Also, all government and private offices as well as educational institutions in the Cantonment Board limits of Abbottabad will remain closed on Wednesday (today). This was stated by CBA Chief Executive Omar Farooq.

Farooq told newsmen that all the schools in either the private or public sector would remain closed on Dec 17.
