No Show: Lawyers on strike today

FAISALABAD: Faisalabad Bar Association on Monday called a strike for Tuesday (today) after a lawyer was attacked on court premises. Association president Tanveerur Randhawa said Advocate Azam Bajwa had gone to court for a hearing where he was beaten by Anjum Lateef, his brother Zaheer Lateef and four unidentified men from the opposing side.He said one of them had also tried to stab the lawyer. Lawyers condemned the attack and announced a strike on Tuesday. They also demanded immediate arrest of those responsible.
