The police chief of Kharan district was injured along with his guard in a brazen attack on Monday afternoon. DPO Kharan Muhammad Anwar Badini was on his regular round when assailants ambushed his vehicle on the main street of the Kharan town, Levies officials said according to media reports. The DPO was rushed to hospital in critical condition along with the other policeman who was injured in the attack. Levies said the assailants managed to escape unchallenged after the attack. Police and FC reached the site and cordoned off the area to collect evidence. Police have registered a case and started investigations. Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch strongly condemned the incident and ordered the police to conduct a probe. and submit a report in this regard.
