“Today Mian sb, I give you a clear message, if you are serious in not damaging the country and if you are sincere in talks then the matter can end in 48 hours,” the PTI chairman said, while addressing his workers in Lahore, ahead of his shutdown on December 15 as part of his “Plan C.”
Imran pointed out that if the government was “serious” about negotiations, dialogue would have started by now.
After successfully shutting down Faisalabad and Karachi, the PTI chairman has called for a shutdown in Lahore on Monday.
“Our shutdown in Karachi was peaceful, we did not pressurise anyone and people shutdown their businesses voluntarily,” he said, adding, “We want the same to happen in Lahore.”
Explaining his workers the plan of action for the shutdown, Imran said, “You should talk to traders and give them my message that if they want revolution, they should shutdown but if they are happy with the system, they should keep their businesses running.”
“Through peaceful protests like the one in Karachi, we are making a news system and not shutting down at gun-point or under pressure.”
Admitting he made a mistake during his shutdown in Karachi, he said, “I am not sure whether they were our people or not but some people misbehaved with media and that is not acceptable.”
“I urge the Lahore team to take care of the media and make ways for ambulances to pass,” he said.
Further, he warned the PML-N against repeating the Faisalabad tragedy, when PML-N and PTI workers clashed, resulting in the death of a PTI activist.
"If you unleash your gullus on us, PTI workers will respond befittingly and you will be responsible for it,” he said.
PTI to block 18 points in Lahore on Monday
PTI Lahore District’s president Abdul Aleem Khan announced on Saturday that they will block 18 points in Lahore on Monday.
The points include Shahdara chowk, Bhatti chowk, Babu Sabu, Charing Cross, PMG chowk, Mughalpura chowk, Bhatta chowk, Walton chowk, Liberty chowk, Thokar Niaz Beg, Raiwind road, Chuburgi, LHC chowk, Mozang Chungi and Chungi Amar Sidhu.
Meanwhile, PTI Punjab president Ejaz Chaudhry led a PTI mobilization campaign on Mall Road on Saturday.
The rally included general secretary Dr Yasmin Rashid and information secretary Andaleeb Abbas. They distributed flyers and pamphlets while urging commuters and business owners to join their protest on Monday.
PTI workers and supporters also blocked main Mall road for a few minutes and changed ‘GoNawazGo’ before returning to the pavement.
“We are trying to convince them to close their shops and support our call. We are not forcing anyone. We believe in reaching out to the people, the decision will be theirs,” said Andleeb Abbas.

@Mohammed We are finished? Remind you that PMLN backed canddidates heavily won again last week in By elections? Remind you that in 2002 under Mush and again in 2008, PMLN had its votes and seats. Yes We are finished! Keep dreaming and reality will bite you again in 2018.
@Naeem Khan So I am curious here, If some one that do not agree with you or IK / PTI must be paid to do so by some one? Is this logical. What in the world makes you think we the PMLN supporters are paid and not posting here because we love our party PMLN and love Pakistan equally or more than any one else. We voted for PMLN and its our duty to defend that vote. I choose to do that defense here to people like you are brainwashed by IK and present our side of the argument. Deal with it!
@Rex Just wait for 2018 (you really do not have any choice). You will have ample chance to vote NS out. I am sure 3.5 years are not that much to wait. Nothing can be and will be done before that period.
@Ch. Allah Daad: The return of the patwari!
Now its one Imran who is creating anarchy, hundreds of other groups, organizations and political parties are silent and waiting patiently to create havoc in the country. Imagine those times when Imran is in power (God forbidden) and everyone else is out in streets to follow footsteps of Imran. I hope, the forces behind Imran would forecast future correctly and would not let it happen. If they are not stupid, they would kill both birds instead of one.
Khan Sb please have mercy on us and this country. I beg you, take your dirty fight to the courts and EC,and leave us alone.
this situation could have been handled earlier if their had been a smarter govt..The inability of the present govt to solve this issue even till now shows how inexperienced or ineligible they are.People who r blaming IK should realize where this started from.FOUR constituencies were asked to justify the tranparency and fairness of the election, are u saying noone can ask for rechecking after elections and this is what they will have to go through, spending so much money.A normal ,ordinary Pakistani then can't even think of getting justice.it is govt's reponsibility to give justice and solve problems even for those who didn't vote for them. The whole responsibility falls on govt.for this situation
At last, The Master of U-Turns has come back to 13th August 2014 when the Central Government had offered him talks. But being too arrogant, he was proving stubbornness along with TahirulQadri/Sh Rasheed & Chaudhry Brothers, that he will stop the Container March (a.k.a. Fasad March) only upon PM's resignation. After wasting more than 4 months of this nation and wasting more than 1800 hours live coverage, this guy comes back to the negotiations table!
@nasir: It matters not who is the next in line to lead the folks in Pakistan, more important is that the one who has proven incompetent must leave. Not IK but the master of the universe usualy provides several opportunities to every one for salvation.

@H Chaudhry: Then be it Sir; those who practice violence will become violence themseves. This is what is in the scripture scripture and this is how it will transpirer. No one save us from our fate!!! I hope and pray that you will be the one to laugh last.

@Rex Minor: Delusional leader and cult followers, keep dreaming :-)
While talking to various TV channels on Friday, the Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid is reported to have said "Dialogue with PTI will bear positive result for all" adding, "the result should be such in which neither side wins nor loses."
So, the gentleman has just about spelled out what sort of outcome the govenment wants to emerge from the talks.
Also, Pervaiz Rashid and Rana Sanaullah have not been restrained at all, and are busy talking in their usual style.
So, it becomes more than obvious that the government is not at all serious and wants this matter also to proceed and end up much like the Model Town tragedy.
All this makes it imperative for PTI to exercise utmost caution, agree to Terms of Reference after due deliberation and consultation, and not just plunge headlong into the negotiations, thus falling into the trap carefully laid by the PML-N government.
Karachi
@Now I support PML N:- Mr. N Sharif has your vote sir. He stole it from IK and put it in his box on the election day. So don't worry, your vote (if you really voted for IK) went to whom you actually ment to vote for. And it's good that you showed your allegiance/arrogance pretty soon. Pakistan need people with long term vision (and not lotas). Donning a tiger hide doesn't makes a fox a tiger.
Government is using all delaying tactics to stay in power with rigged election.
@Ch. Allah Daad: I used to accuse the Indian trolls to be financed by their government to spew venom at Pakistan and Pakistanis when ever there was any chance for them to do so. It seems that you are one of the Pakistanis who is being financed by this government to be writing the same hateful comments against IK and his party. Do you have any real job and how could you spend so time scanning papers and writing nasty remarks. I don't support any political or religious party in Pakistan but must say that IK has awoken the nation and the change is on the horizon and this change will be brought by the young generation of Pakistan who are fed up with these corrupt politicians who go to Saudi Arabia and stay there for 10 days to conduct their private business on the backs of this unfortunate nation called Pakistanis. By the way your leader Nawaz Sharif is the product of that despicable dictator Zia, can you deny this.
@Rex Minor You make me laugh. NO his time is not up, we voted for him and we will protect him til 2018. I guaranttee you that PM is not going any where.
Uff, the degree of arrogance this guy shows is unbelievable. Irony is he admits in his threat that he is damaging the country but is shifting the onus of saving it from his anarchy entirely on Mian Sb. IK has done a great job of transforming his image as a legendary cricketer to a despicable human being, who is spreading anarchy, and is fast becoming cancer for Pakistan! Any govt in the Western world would have put him away long time ago -- right after he uttered his first threats to Police in Islamabad!
This so called politician first was demanding resignation of PM in 48 hours and now begging for dialogues in 48 hours what a big U-Turn I have in my entire life. What will be happen if God forbid this non serious person becomes PM of Pakistan
@Ch. Allah Daad: Mian Sahib has indeed ruled with Iron fist and military too and brought the democracy on its knees. His time is now up and until he yields the entire country will soon have complete shut down.
Rex Minor. power
Khan Saab one in the life i voted and warmly supported you but i m really disappointed by your political style. I repent for voting you. Please give me back my precious vote.
@Dr Zhivago: This is an illegitimate government that has been occupying the ISB thru a forged mandate. This government wouldn't have survived in any other democratic culture. They have left no choice for the people of Pakistan but to come out in streets for their rights.
I just don't get it why all rational people would not support the cause of bringing transparency in the system?
What is so wrong in this or any government in future to prove it's mandate?
Uff, the degree of arrogance this guy shows is unbelievable. Irony is he admits in his warning the country but is shifting the onus of saving it from his anarchy only on Mian Sb. IK has done a great job of transforming his image as a legendary cricketer to a despicable politician, who is fast becoming cancer for Pakistan!
@Ch. Allah Daad: If he did so. The very same media and public would've called for him to step down.
I used to support IK but now he is no different from the Taliban terrorists who want to harm Pakistan
@Ch. Allah Daad: The PTI is more than a match for your Gullu Butts. You have no support bar the thugs in the Punjab police and Rana Sanullah. You are finished!
Mian Sahib should have dealt this menace with iron fist but unfortunately he has shown too much leniency. Perhaps he is playing safe because he might also need these destructive activities in future. In Sindh too, PPP and MQM has also reserved their rights to shut down Karachi whenever their legitimate and illegitimate demands are not met. Imran does not know how much damage he has done to our future.
